Hot summer day in Sicily. We are in the port of a small and beautiful town called Syracuse and about to jump on a small boat with the entire family. A day on the boat is always a good day, especially when the entire family from different countries get together. While cruising around the surroundings of Syracuse, enjoying the fresh sea breeze and random family chats, I couldn’t not to take an opportunity and shoot a watch in that perfect entourage. This time it was my sister’s watch, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36, which she always is wearing on her wrist.

No one needs an introduction to the brand Rolex. It’s so popular, that these days it’s nearly impossible to enter the boutique and buy a Rolex watch. You would need to wait for few years (for a simple model) and up to 5-8 years for the beloved sport models of Rolex. Is this hype justified? Even though I don’t like these stories with waiting for a watch for several years, I need to admit, when it comes to the most versatile watch on the planet, to the only-one-good-watch-for-entire-life, it’s not possible to think of something else than Rolex. I would love to change my mind, to find another brand that can do it, I even kind of hate to write it and give even more promotion to Rolex ;), but it’s simply the fact.
My sister is a personal stylist for her profession, real magician of putting together a perfect wardrobe and a big passionated person about fashion. She often changes her image, one day you can see her in a fuchsia pink suit, another day in hoody or black dress. Therefore it was important for her to have one watch that can fit to everything.
