We all know waiting lists, when it comes to Rolex or Patek Philippe watches, some of us are part of them and we got used to it already. But how crazy it is to see the real queues in front of the shops, all over the globe, every day for many months, just to be able to purchase a watch, a Moonswatch from the phenomenal collaboration between Omega and Swatch. No waiting lists, no reservations, no online purchases, the only way to buy a Moonswatch is to go to your nearest Swatch Store and try your luck there. Even today, almost 1 year after the launch, it’s not necessary that you enter the Swatch Store and the desired Moonswatch model will be in stock. You will be advised to come another day, best in the morning, just when the shop is opening. Wow, after 1 year and still this overwhelming demand. In the beginning I thought that this hype will calm down after few months, but I was completely wrong.
This is truly a phenomenal collaboration. It will be interesting to see how it develops further and if other brands will follow with the similar collaborations.
