Panerai Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT Platinumtech PAM01575

Panerai Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT Platinumtech PAM01575

Panerai has introduced the Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT Platinumtech PAM01575 at Watches and Wonders 2025 in Geneva, where all perpetual calendar settings can be adjusted entirely via the crown. Full details below.

The 44mm case of the new PAM01575 is made from the brand’s proprietary Platinumtech alloy, a material with 95% pure platinum that is 40% harder than standard platinum, offering increased scratch resistance. However, it also adds significant weight—33% more than 18-carat gold—resulting in a substantial feel on the wrist.

The dial is a blue sapphire crystal, allowing visibility of the underlying day and date disks. Applied indexes and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova X2, providing strong legibility in low-light conditions. The perpetual calendar complication is designed for clarity, with most indications—hours, minutes, small seconds, GMT, and day/night—visible on the dial, while additional details like the month, year, and leap year are displayed through the sapphire case back.

Powering the watch is the automatic P.4100 calibre, is the result of research and development that spanned over ten years by Panerai’s Laboratorio di Idee. It features a three-day power reserve stored in twin barrels and an off-centered micro-rotor in gold, keeping the movement compact at 35.1mm in diameter and 7mm thick. The perpetual calendar mechanism can track dates correctly until 2399, requiring only a minor adjustment every century. Adjustments to the day, date, month, and leap year settings can be made entirely via the crown, without additional tools. Panerai has also integrated a shock protection system for the date mechanism and a redesigned GMT spring to improve durability and accuracy.

The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters, tested at pressures exceeding its rated depth to ensure durability. It comes with a dark blue alligator strap with a vintage patina finish, as well as a blue rubber strap for a more casual option. PAM01575 is available exclusively in Panerai boutiques.
