This year’s Watches and Wonders fair was all about bright colours, with most brands unveiling new models featuring vibrant hues. Even Rolex, known for their more traditional designs, embraced this trend with a few crazy models. While this was unexpected from Rolex, it was also a surprise from Patek Philippe. The brand introduced three new Calatrava 6007G watches featuring colourful elements, a departure from their typically reserved aesthetic. While the use of colour is limited, it is already quite bright for the brand like Patek Philippe.
There are 3 models of Calatrava 6007G: with touches of yellow (6007G-001), red (6007G-010) or sky blue (6007G-011) on the counters and seconds hands as well as on the stitching and lining of the black calfskin straps with embossed “carbon” pattern.
DIAL
Ebony black, center embossed with “carbon” motif, gold applied numerals with white luminescent coating.
CASE
White gold. Sapphire crystal case back. Water-resistant to 30 m. Diameter: 40 mm. Height: 9.17 mm.
MOVEMENT
The new Calatrava 6007G equiped with the automatic caliber 26-330 S C with a central rotor made of 21K gold. This movement also features a Gyromax balance and Spiromax balance spring, both of which are patented technologies exclusive to Patek Philippe. The caliber 26-330 S C has a power reserve of up to 45 hours and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
It is a refreshing and exciting trend to see even renowned brands like Patek Philippe introducing vibrant colours into their watches. Who said that the serious mechanical watch should be in black or blue.
The retail price of the new Patek Philippe Calatrava 6007G is 37,220 eur. More details about Patek Philippe on patek.com
