Tudor Black Bay Pro with opaline dial

One of the new models from Tudor at Watches & Wonders 2025, that attracted my attention, is not a really new watch, but the existing one, Black Bay Pro, with a new opaline dial.

When Tudor introduced the first Black Bay Pro in 2022, it was clear where the inspiration came from. The general vibe echoed the Rolex Explorer II, but more specifically, it pulled aesthetic cues from the cult-classic reference 1655—that funky orange-hand GMT from the ‘70s. Tudor translated that spirit into tough, tool-focused modern watch, wrapped it in their own language.

This new 2025 version keeps the formula mostly unchanged, and that’s a good thing. The case is still 39mm, with a brushed fixed steel bezel that gives it a utilitarian, no-nonsense feel. Yes, it wears a bit thick, but the short lug-to-lug keeps it manageable, even on smaller wrists.

The big change is the opaline dial—a subtle, creamy white with just the right amount of warmth. The black-outlined ceramic hour markers and Snowflake hands contrast crisply against the dial, boosting legibility. It’s a small tweak, but it shifts the vibe of the watch quite a bit—cleaner, maybe a touch more refined, but still rugged at heart. The angular yellow Snowflake hand, indicating reference time, adds a bold pop of color that energizes the otherwise minimalist look.

You still get the MT5652 movement with true GMT functionality, a 70-hour power reserve, and COSC certification. And you still have your choice of three strap options: the riveted steel bracelet with T-fit clasp, a leather-rubber hybrid, or the woven Jacquard strap in black and yellow.

For me personally, it’s one of the most exciting Tudor watches in recent times. It looks fresh, it has GMT, and it feels like a very robust tool watch that you can take with you on all adventures. 200 m water resistance will make sure you can also do water activities without worries. I just wish it were under 10 mm (currently it’s 14.6 mm). Man can dream.
