Introducing: Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Flying Tourbillon in 38 mm

Audemars Piguet expands its range of complicated models with a 38 mm ultra-thin Code 11.59 Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon in 18-carat sand gold, set with brilliant-cut diamonds.

The new model features a 38 mm sand gold case with a thickness of 9.6 mm, adorned with 235 brilliant-cut diamonds (~1.2 carats) on the case middle, lugs, and crown. This 18-carat alloy, a blend of gold, copper, and palladium, debuts in the Code 11.59 collection after its first appearance in the Royal Oak in 2024. Depending on the light and angle, it shifts between white and pink gold tones. This is also the first selfwinding flying tourbillon in this diameter from the Manufacture.

The dial has a sand gold hue achieved through Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD), matching the case. It features an embossed pattern with concentric circles radiating from the center.

The case is just 9.6 mm thick, made possible by the ultra-thin 3.4 mm Calibre 2968 (RD#3) movement. Its flying tourbillon features a lightweight titanium cage and a new escapement for improved energy distribution and efficiency. An increased oscillator amplitude enhances reliability and precision, while the balance wheel’s positioning aligns the tourbillon with the dial for better visuals. Power reserve is 50 h.

The sapphire caseback reveals the movement’s rhodium-toned openworked bridges, V-angle decoration, and traits tirés finishing. It also displays the sand gold-toned 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight.

The watch features a beige alligator strap with large square scales, subtly contrasting with the case and dial. The folding clasp is set with brilliant-cut diamonds. The price of the Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Flying Tourbillon is

The new Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Flying Tourbillon (ref. 26665SG.ZZ.D209CR.01) costs € 188,300 (daily rate).
